Tony Sciano

Tony Sciano, age 74, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 16, 2016 . Tony was preceded in death by his mother Mary (nee Maglio), father Phillip, and siblings Mike Cottonaro, Sam Cottonaro, Charlie Sciano and Lucy Brown, Tony was born April 6, 1942 to Mary and Philip Sciano and was married for 55 years to his soul mate and best friend, Elsa Sciano (nee Schmidt), whom he loved from the moment he laid eyes on her. The two of them raised three beautiful children and he lived for his family. Tony is survived by his wife Elsa and their three children, Ingrid (Mark) Adashun, Jerry (Lisa) Sciano, and Kim (Mark) Mennen, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one sister, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends who all loved him more than life itself. Tony was a jack of all trades. He started out as a mechanic for Don Hudson Chevrolet, and owned and operated Fontana Auto Auction and then later, the Dead End Saloon, a tavern and restaurant in Caledonia, WI. He was always working on the "next big thing" and never let anything slow him down. Tony loved life more than any person we know and he lived it to the fullest. There was never a dull moment when he walked through the door, and he had many adventures throughout his life. He loved snowmobiling with his buddies in the winter time, boating in the summer and hanging out with friends and family while having a beer on the back deck and watching the water. He was always willing to lend a hand with fixing things for family and friends. He also spent numerous hours in the garage rehabbing and restoring antique cars, and then driving the car around town with his buddies, beeping and waving at everyone he saw. He was the life of the party, and we are certain that Heaven just got a little more exciting with the addition of his arrival. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Services will be on Monday December 19, 2016 at 2 PM at the Bolger Funeral Home-Woodruff Chapel with a gathering one hour prior the service. A celebration of life will follow at Mar-Li's in Sayner starting at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
