Dorothea M. Kramer

Dorothea Martha (Trost) Kramer beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on May 28th 2025 at the age of 98. She was born on July 3, 1926 to Carl and Martha (Heide) Trost in Prairie Grove, Illinois. Dorothea is survived by her cherished children, Wayne (Norma) Kramer, Susan (Roland) Schutz, Dawn (Thomas) Heinz, Heidi (James) Kendzior. She was a proud grandma to her grandchildren, Nicholas (Alesha) Schutz, Michael (Aimee) Schutz, Nathan (April) Schutz, David (Christina) Kramer, Stephanie (Corey) Grunklee, Andrea (David) Marrinson, Amber (Raymond) Krishock, Allison (Tyler) Smith, Marissa Beyer, Megan (Thomas) Carson, Matthew (Lindsey) Heinz, Krby (Adrianna) Kendzior. Her treasured great grandchildren, Raelynn and Kinsley Carson, Abbie and Zack Schutz, Micah and Taryn Schutz, Aaron, James, Asher and Sarah Schutz, Abel, Jonah and Emelia Grunklee, Arkyn, Kael and Cormac Heinz-Marrinson, Raechel Krishock, Escher and Tenor Smith, Naomi, Scarlett and Jacob Heinz. Her sister-in-law Kay Alvarez and sister-in-law Joyce Kramer. Dorothea was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne, her parents Carl and Martha (Heide) Trost, her sisters, brothers, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Herbert Trost, Anna (Otto) Bernsee, Henrietta (Lee) Keeling, Helena (Raymond) Beese, Raymond (Elizabeth) Trost, Gertrude (James) Ford, Carl (Marilyn) Trost. Her in-laws John and Margariet (Kneip) Kramer, her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Marvin and Gilbert Kramer, Carol (Thomas) McGrath, Fern (Al) Jackson, Jorge Alvarez, her grandson-in-law Randy Beyer. Dorothea was married to the love of her life Wayne for 75 years and they celebrated their anniversary on October 15th, 2024 with their family. She was a Sunday schoolteacher and TLC leader. She participated in choir, altar guild and Mary Martha Circle. She retired from the United States Post Office after 16 years of service. Her passions were baking, cookie making, reading, writing poetry and bowling which she played until she was 92. She loved playing cards and games with her family and friends. A celebration of Dorothea’s and Wayne’s life will be celebrated on May 31, 2025 at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 9035 Blumenstein Rd, Woodruff, WI 54568. A private interment will be at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Hawthorn Woods, Il.
