La Nita Hobbs

La Nita Elsie McNamara Hobbs (nee Walck), 91, of Woodruff passed away on January 18, 2019 at the Seasons of Life Hospice House. She was born in Chicago, IL to Frederick and Elsie Walck. La Nita was a member of Eastern Star for 73 years as of January, 2019. She held the following honors: Past Grand Instructor, Past Grand Representative of Michigan in Florida, Past Grand Electa of the Grand Chapter of Florida, Past Matron of Eagle Chapter No. 218, Life member of Wisconsin and Past Grand Representative of Montana in Wisconsin. La Nita is also a Past Pledge Mother and board member for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls and recipient of Rainbow Grand Cross. La Nita Graduated from Lake View High School, Chicago, Illinois. She attended the Institute of Banking in Chicago where she received the Chicago Clearinghouse Award. She was the first woman to sell duplicating products in Chicago, IL. La Nita is survived by several nieces and nephews. Niece: Janet (Arnel) Dupuis, Nephew: David (Darlene) Poupart, Sr., Great nephews: Jon DeBaets, Robert (Kim) DeBaets, Bryan (Sarah) DeBaets, David (Colleen) Poupart, Jr; Great Niece: Julie (David) Poupart; Great-Grand nephews: Robert Balocca, Jon Poupart, Austin DeBaets, Aaron DeBaets and Sean DeBaets; Great-Grand nieces: Ashley DeBaets; Jenna Poupart, Maya Taber, Leia Taber; Great-Great Grand nieces: Elle and Charlotte and her special friend, Kay Smith. La Nita is preceded in death by husbands, Daniel McNamara and Charles Wesley Hobbs; sister Lois DeBaets, mother, Elsie Walck-Schwartz, father and step-father, Frederic Walck and William Schwartz, nephew Albert DeBaets, Jr; and Niece Darlene Poupart. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 21, 2019 at 11 AM at the Bolger Funeral Home-WOODRUFF Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior the service on Monday at the funeral home. Internment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.
