Murphy, Betty J. (Nee Czosek) Residence Woodruff, WI. Born to eternal life January 11, 2012, at the age of 79 years. Daughter of the late Harry P. Czosek and the late Lottie Czosek. Preceded in death by her high school sweetheart, husband and soul mate, Walter P. Murphy. Long time member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Woodruff, WI. Loving mother of Kathryn (Daniel Baechle) Murphy, Karen (Mark) Niederkorn, Paul (Lori) Murphy, Timothy (Lisa) Murphy, Michael Murphy, Peggy (Dean) Menos, John (Alice) Murphy and Eileen Murphy. Sister of Lolain Dobbs and the late Marilyn Urso. Awesome grandma of Dan (Christie) Baechle, Nathan (Lauren) and Emma Niederkorn, Tonia and Kyle Murphy, Ashley (Simeon) Patton, Andrea and Matthew Murphy, Michael (Amber), Megan and Ian Murphy and Augie and Alex Menos. Amazing great-grandmother of Chance and Hallie Brown, Jake, Roman and Olivier Patton and Lillyan, Evelyn and Michael Murphy, and special great grandma to Dylan and Alex Balt. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Graduate of Resurrection High School and attended University of Illinois. Betty was an enthusiastic fan of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 1969, Betty was certified as one of the first female air traffic controllers in the US and enjoyed a successful career until her retirement to the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where she was an enthusiastic volunteer throughout the community. Betty lived life to the fullest; she will be remembered most for her love of family and nature. Memorial visitation Thursday, January 19, 4 to 9 pm, (memorial service at 7:00 pm) at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home, 10415 S. Kedzie, Chicago, IL. Friends and family will gather at St. Casimir Cemetery Interment Chapel on January 20 at 11 am 4401 West 111th Street, Chicago, IL. A memorial mass will take place at on May 26th at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI. Memorials to the North Lakeland Discovery Center, Manitowish Waters or Marywood Franciscan Spirituality Center, Arbor Vitae. The family extends their greatest appreciation to their cousin, Kris Ross, Dr. Ho Myong and nurses of Rush Copley Oncology, Dr. Matthias Weiss and nurses at Marshfield Clinic Oncology, Dr. Anne Drewry and Avanti Health and Rehab Center, for their loving care.
