Sun up 2/03/1959 Sunset 12/07/2016 Mykl J. Hensley, age 57, of Boulder Junction and spouse of his best catch, Joni L. Hensley. Mykl was an EMT and Firefighter for Boulder Junction for a combination of over 20 plus years. He was involved with Headwaters Search and Rescue for 17 years and worked with Universal Tracking Service in Field Tracking. Mykl felt very strongly the importance of teaching children about hunter safety and snowmobile safety. Mykl donated much of his time to volunteering in his community. He enjoyed working with his search dog, Ani; as well as hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. If you met Mykl, you never forgot him… He is the son of the late Arlene and John Hensley. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Debra (Joe) McWilliams and Kim Hensley. Mykl is survived by his brother, John (Rosa) Hensley and their children, Amber and Autumn; niece, Brandy Miller (Neil Roder) and her daughter, Ashley Hamilton and niece, Elizabeth (Darren) Phillipich and their son, Gabriel. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Community Church of Boulder Junction. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Boulder Beer Bar. Memorials may be given to the Boulder Junction Gun Club – Hunter Safety Program. Hey Myk, Sometimes even Trumpeter Swans find it challenging walking around with their big bodies and giant wing span. But they are at their best when they swim with the Big Fish.
